We enjoyed ourselves it was a well needed trip from Indiana. Long but fun. The staff was amazing and everything that was offered at the campground was amazing kids had a lot of fun. Their favorite was the lazy river. The beach was right across the street for easy access would definitely recommend. Kids even got to feed the turtles they loved it.
We have been coming here for several years, & although it is a nice resort with great amenities it is getting run down.It’s great for those that love to be in the water, but we have a 2 yr old that just wants to splash ard & the splash pad is VERY dangerous. Needs to be plastic & more for little kids. Jump pad has no lights in the evening for kids, no shade in dog areas, tiny little playground with NO shade. This place could be a lot better.
Been here every year for the last five years. Park IS NOT being taken care of. All amenities listed are NOT available. When I called the first time to book the reservation, the rude person just said all the sites were full from July and Aug. I didn't believe this, went online and booked both July and Aug. dates. Says breakfast Wed and Sat.??? never saw it. Noise level and quiet rules not maintained. Structures and pool areas are not being maintained or updated. Buildings going up across the road, so no more beach view. For the price, might be better somewhere else. We will be looking.
The sites are very well maintained and have good spacing. Maneuvering ro sight can be a little tight but is relatively simple. The staff is awesome and very helpful. The selection of amenities is great for a family oriented park. Outside of the park, you need to drive to everything. Overall a great park and place to have a fantastic family vacation!
We recently stayed at this RV park and overall had a great experience! The location is absolutely unbeatable—just a short, easy walk to both the beach and the bay, offering stunning views that made for a truly relaxing getaway.The park itself is very well maintained in terms of cleanliness and landscaping, and we appreciated the care that clearly goes into keeping the grounds looking nice. However, some of the facilities are starting to show their age and could definitely benefit from updates and better upkeep. There’s so much potential here! A little reinvestment—especially into the pool area, restrooms, and common spaces—could elevate this park into a true next-level resort.We also saw opportunities for added amenities that could enhance the guest experience and increase revenue, like reimagining the bar space or even adding a small cafe or snack shack for those hot poolside afternoons.One downside was the section in the back where a handful of full-time residents are set up. Unfortunately, several of these sites were quite rundown, with broken-down vehicles and RVs that really clash with the upscale resort feel being advertised.That said, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return. With a few improvements and more consistent standards throughout the park, this place could easily become a premier coastal destination. Also worth noting—Verizon cell service was reliable throughout the park.
Just amazing. The office staff provide a superior customer service. Any staff member you come in contact with are friendly, professional, and helpful. Facilities are kept very clean and organized. The lazy river is awesome along with the many pools and other amenities. Food truck/trailer on site has a vast selection and priced reasonably. They have a family of tortoises on site. The two adults find their home on the putt-putt course and the babies in the office. Would highly recommend this resort.
Jamaica Beach RV Park is at a great location, far enough for the populated areas, but close enough to make it a short trip.The public beach was just a short walk away, and that’s really what we wanted to visit- so I’m pleased with that. The ability to walk to the bay on the other side of the park was nice, also. Made for very pretty sunsets.The park was clean, we had pleasant interactions with staff, and were able to have full access to all provided amenities. The splash pad was great, and my daughter had fun. The indoor pool was nice for less than stellar weather days. The putt putt course was entertaining. Most of the outdoor amenities just need updates. I know that’s hard to do simultaneously, and I’m sure the staff members are working hard to accommodate these updates. I just don’t think it was worth the price for additional family members (family of 4) to use these facilities.It wasn’t necessarily a bad visit.I’m just not sure it was up to the standard it was advertised as on their website. Especially for a RV Resort that books up so fast, and far in advance.
I really had a great stay here. It's a resort that is showing some age, but is still in good shape and has a lot of fun to offer. It's about 15 miles from downtown Galveston, so it's away from any hustle and bustle. A lovely and quiet location. Not directly on the beach but very close, they do offer access to an estuary. Sites are concrete and level. Utilities work well, including wifi and cable. Office can be very busy (book in advance) but they are very friendly. I would likely come back for a longer stay next time around.
Just a great RV park..so much to do if only the weather was warmer! Staff was lovely. Would love to come back here. A little tight to get in, but easy out. Very level sites, good amenities!
This is an awesome park. The sites are packed in like sardines but they're all concrete, level, and just nice in general. There's a huge selection of activities for the family to partake in.The cherry on top is the family that runs it seems to really enjoy it. They enjoy talking and have great attitudes.
Loved it! We travel with 3 kids all under 12... some times you just want to sit and chill. This place has enough for those days where you don't want to go anywhere, yet close enough to everything if you do want to go anywhere. Clean, well maintained. The mower guy gives zero ephs, so stay out of his way I guess...
This is a great RV Park! Easy access to the beach. Three pools on site (one of them indoor), splash pad, two hot tubs (one which is very large and adult only!), three laundry rooms and associated bathrooms, mini golf course, large dog run..... and last but not least a LAZY RIVER!!!! All of the sites are level.concrete pads with full hook up. If you want more space, be sure book a premium site for more green space. We booked a delux. There is ample space between the sites. I do not feel like we are right on tip of nearby campers. The staff is awesome. I am.sure I am missing a few items because there is just so much here! One final note, being in Galveston means hurricanes, so all of the indoor facilities are on the second floor. In addition to stairs, there are ramps on all of the buildings, including the cabins they have for rent.
Check this place out. Location was good. You will be west of Galveston but the drive isn't bad. Beach access is 5 min away. There is always a breeze flowing through the area. Good amenities here. Lazy river, mini golf, pools. Great staff here. Highly recommended.
Overall, good experience. Nice level sites. Fun amenities (especially the mini-golf and lazy river). Can't beat the price! Very close to the beach.It has a bit more of the party experience than our family desired. Lots of loud music and drinking around the pool. Nothing inappropriate or out of control, just not the most kid friendly.Be aware if you park near a palm tree your RV is going to need a major cleaning from all the bird doo.In summary, would visit again. Very friendly and welcoming.
This was a great experience! The lazy river is an awesome, unique amenity, and the public beaches nearby are nice. What I particularly appreciated is that I did not feel the park "nickel and dimes" its guests.We are already planning a return. A bit of advice - the wifi at our are of the park is weak in the evenings, but Verizon is strong there if you are working from the road.
